Student memberships

From school year 8 up to University, we have a range of student memberships at Oakwood.

School student (school year 8-11)

Sixth form student - Gym Only

​

School student (year 8-11)

  • School Year 8-11

  • Access

    • Mon-Fri: 3.15pm-5.00pm (12pm-5pm in school hols)

    • Sat-Sun: 12pm-4pm

  • Restricted equipment (based on level of instruction received)​

  • Signed code of conduct required from parent/carer and student

  • Start-up fee: £15 (£10 if parent is a member)

  • Monthly fee: £15 (£12 if parent is a member)

Instruction

​

The start-up fee covers a 45-minute Starter Session. The instructor will cover the following:

​

  • Explaining gym rules, etiquette and code of conduct

  • eGYM wireless wristband included

  • Set up and calibrate all eGYM machines (for safe strength training)

  • Use of aerobic equipment (treadmills, bikes, cross trainers, rowing machines)

  • Provide and explain a basic student fitness programme, which is to be used on each visit.

Further instruction available

​

After one month of membership the student has the option of taking on a second level of instruction, if they wish.

​

  • £15 (£10 if parent is a member)

  • Upgrade from eGYM basic to premium (no further monthly cost)

  • Basic free-weight training

  • A further programme with slightly more advanced exercises

​

How to join

​

The parent/carer should call reception to set up the membership and direct debit. We will then arrange the Starter Session with an instructor. Please note, unattended appointments incur a £5 fee to re-book. Reception: 01293 822238

Sixth form student - gym only

  • Access: All opening hours (no restrictions)

  • Start-up fee: £15 (£10 if parent is a member)

  • Monthly fee: £23 (£20 is parent is a member)
